We’re having a red and white Christmas colour theme this year. It seemed like a sensible colour choice considering I had lots of red wool and fabric left over from our recent lady beetle party.
I bought this book a while ago and have been meaning to make some Christmas decorations out of it. The first project I decided to make was this Christmas candy garland knowing that the girls would really like it. There are some really cute projects in this book so I hope to make some more. Did you notice all my page markers?
I found it easier to get a nice straight cut on the felt when I used my rotary cutter. I used red and white wool felt which is thicker than acrylic felt. You could of course use other colours for this project and create quite a different look to suit another holiday or occasion.
The beads were from Spotlight and the jar was full of red and white beads in all shapes and sizes which was perfect for this project.
I made 24 felt lollies which made a nice small garland. Wish I had more beads to make it a bit longer as we’re still deciding where to hang it and if it was a bit longer I’d have a few more options.
