After gifting the last ripple bag to our friend I decided to make another kids ripple bag but a bit smaller this time. Using the same basic pattern as last time but this version has only 5 ripples or zig zags across insead of 7 which makes it a nice kids size (started with 58 chains).
Instead of red and teal I used one ball each of purple and lavender Moda Vera Beetle yarn purchased from Spotlight. I made the strap smaller as well by starting with only 101 chains instead of 151 like last time.
I’m going to add this bag to my collection of items for the school craft stall. Hopefully I can make a few more with different colour combinations. I’m just waiting for the Moda Vera Beetle yarn to go on special at Spotlight so I can purchase a few balls.
The great thing about this bag is that because it is made up of single crochet stitches it is quite tight and therefore doesn’t need to be lined.
Hopefully a sweet little girl will love it as much as I do and snap the bag up at the school fair with her well earned pocket money.
