If you’re looking for a great quick and beautiful handmade Christmas gift then I’ve found the perfect one! These easy knitted bangles knit up in no time at all and the pattern is so easy.
I purchased 2 little packets of mini skeins of mixed fibres from one of the Craft Shows from Prudence Mapstone’s stall and they have been sitting in my stash for a few years now. They are the perfect size for this project with some yarn left over.
I had the perfect size needles in some mini Addi circulars which are so much fun to knit with and much quicker for me than using double pointed needles.
I’ve made three so far and the two beautiful knitted bracelets above my daughter gave to her school teacher as part of her gift (along with the crochet teddy lovey for her new baby which I shared with you recently). They look really great with beaded yarn or yarn with sequins in it. You know it’s a nice gift when its something you wouldn’t have minded keeping for yourself!
I’ll just have to make some more of them and keep on the lookout for cute mini skeins that are just right for them.
With three daughters at school and birthdays so close to Christmas it was hard to do as many handmade gifts for their teachers. I felt bad that one of my daughters didn’t give handmade but she saw a present when we were out shopping one day that she was adamant that was what she wanted to give her. Lesson learnt it’s never too early to start making Christmas gifts!
Anyway this really is such a great handmade gift I’m going to see if I can make some more before the 25th of December!
