As a mum of three girls I’ve got to say that a cord toddler A line dress is amongst my favourite clothes for them. They are very versatile, in the colder months you can put a top underneath or in summer wear it without one. This isn’t for any of my girls though. This dress is a present I made for a dear family friend of ours who’s little girl just turned two.
Using a pattern from the Making Children’s Clothes book as my base I then cut out three other flowers in another cord I had and appliqued them on the front. Some pretty purple ribbon from Spotlight also finished off the hem.
The lining is purple striped cotton and I used four purple buttons down the back opening.
She is the cutest little curly haired girl and she’ll look so pretty in this dress. Can’t wait to give it to her when we see her for a play date next week.
