Last year in winter my husband asked me to make him a scarf, so this year I have made it!
I bought some CashCotton from Lush Yarn at last year’s Craft Show in Darling Harbour. It’s 90% cotton and 10% cashmere and feels so lovely and soft.
I thought a ribbed knit would look more masculine so cast on 40 stitches in total and did a pattern of four knits then four purls continued. It took a little while to knit as I find black a little hard to see at night so preferred knitting it during the day. My toddler undid my knitting twice but I kept at it and finally completed it before the end of winter.
I used two balls of yarn and it is a nice length. Long enough to wear single layer or doubled up like the picture above.
Finishing the scarf didn’t prove to be as hard as getting my husband to pose for a picture before the end of winter! I know it’s the beginning of Spring now but it has been finished for a while and it is still very useful. It should keep him all cuddly and warm for his upcoming trip to the snow.
