Christmas Ribbon Wreath

Christmas Ribbon Wreath

A few weeks ago I was chatting to another mum whilst at my daughter’s swimming lessons telling her about my blog.  She pulled out her phone and showed me the cutest red and green Christmas wreath she’d made. She got the idea from a picture of a similar one in Australian Home Beautiful magazines December 2010 issue. Their wreath had the designer price tag of $350!!!! Having the materials already on hand I decided to make my own using my red and white colour theme.

I already had a polystyrene donut which you may have noticed I used to stick my cake pops in to take pictures of them in a previous post. The holes are all nicely covered up with all the ribbon. Most of this ribbon I had in my large ribbon stash and I just cut strips of the different red and white ribbon to 16cm lengths. I wrapped each ribbon around the donut shape and simply tied it with a knot. Yes no sewing!

I think it’s quite cheerful and is a very pleasant reminder every time I come home that it’s December and Christmas is nearly upon us!
