Cute fast and super easy Easter fabric badges to spread the easter spirit.
I’ve had this red kawaii bunny fabric in my fabric stash for a while now and suddenly thought of the perfect project to use it for. I didn’t have enough to make a skirt of dress so decided to cut out some of the cute bunny heads and turn them into badges.
Basically I just cut around the designs already on the fabric with a little bit of extra room around the circle or rectangle of the design for a seam allowance. Then I backed each piece with fusible wadding to give the fabric some stability.
Then I cut out a matching piece of fabric for the back out of red. With the rectangle and right sides together I sewed three of the sides together and then clipped the corners to make turning easier. After turning the badge right side out I used my pointer to make the corners neat. All that was left was to fold the bottom in and hand sew it closed and then sew on a badge pin to the back. If you don’t like sewing you could always hot glue the badge on the back.
Of course your fabric doesn’t have to be bunnies or easter related and I’m sure most of us have some cute kids fabric that has a small design in our stash that could be used to make some cute badges with. They would make a great party favour too.
I hope you and your family have a safe and Happy Easter. Thank you for all your continued support for my blog and the lovely comments you leave.
