It’s the last week of school before the holidays and the Easter long weekend so Miss 6 and I have made some Easter treats for her to give to everyone in her class.
I bought some orange mini bon petite boiled lollies online in bulk. There is only a small amount in each bag but if you didn’t want to use lollies you could use orange twisties or anything else orange you could think of.
Using my Martha Stewart grass punch we punched some pieces of green cardboard to put in the tops of the bags to make it look like the green leaves of the carrot.
I already had some cellophane bags which were a perfect size and used sticky tape to tape one side up to make a triangle. Then we measured out a small amount of lollies and filled the triangle cellophane bag with them.
We placed the cardboard leaves in the top and then gathered the top of the cellophane bag using an elastic band to secure it closed. We cut up some green bias binding that we already had at home and tied a piece around the top of each bag to cover the elastic band.
Cute little carrot lolly bag treats for Easter. Easy to make and your kids can help with them too. I’m sure they will be a real hit with the kids at school and a change from all the chocolate easter eggs.
