She wore a raspberry beret, the kind you find in a second hand store.
Not second hand but I made this hexagon crochet raspberry beret using three new balls of this lovely red Jo Sharp cotton DK yarn I crocheted a beret made from seven hexagons attached together.
The pattern I found in this Jo Sharp knitting pattern book which they actually sell at some newsagents! Inside are lovely knitting projects and a few crochet patterns as well. Stay tuned for a beautiful scarf I’m finishing from the same book. Actually I should be casting it off my knitting needles today.
After the raspberry beret photo shoot my parents came to visit and I could see my mum loved the red crochet beret. Half joking she asked if she could have it and of course I said yes. My mum has been so sweet and knitted the cutest little blue Debbie Bliss jumper for baby Z (will have to do a blog post about his jumper too). Share the knitting and crochet love around I say!
Do you knit/crochet mainly for gifts for your family and friends or for yourself?
