This crochet necklace is the perfect project for you to use with that one ball of yarn in your stash that you loved so much you bought it but so far you haven’t been sure what to make with it. I purchased this pretty coral coloured Moda Vera Twiggy yarn from Spotlight a while ago because I liked the colour and the shine but didn’t have a project in mind at the time.
When I was looking through some of my bookmarked patterns I thought I’d try some crochet jewellery for a change. The pattern is free from the Italian blog Creative Yarn which is full of some really cute (and free) crochet and knitting patterns.
Basically it is just 4 strands of chain stitches which are held together at the back with a button.
The flower embellishment for the side front is not included but there are many different free crochet flower patterns for you to choose from to personalise your necklace. I just made mine up as I went along. Then pick a pretty button that suits your colours and flower. My daughter’s love playing with my button collection and loved “helping” me pick out the perfect one.
I’m a Tiffany & Co kind of gal and wear pretty much the same necklace and earings every day (since my husband gave them to me) so it’s kind of fun to wear something a bit different for a change.
It’s a really easy, quick and fun pattern to try. A great project for some instant satisfaction when complete. I’m working on a couple of bigger projects at the moment but they are not quite ready to share yet. The kids went back to school today so now I might get them finished sooner rather than later.
