Little Miss 8 wanted me to make something for her that wouldn’t take too long. I showed her this sweet Crochet Striped Arm Warmers pattern from Mooglyblog.com.
They whipped up on the hook in no time at all and I had some supplies of Moda Vera wool from Spotlight in her favourite colour teal to use along with the black. You could even make them in your football team colours.
I know it’s summer here in Australia but they will be fun for her to wear to accessorise when it gets colder.
She has lots of co-ordinating outfits to wear with them. For my long time readers you may remember this pettiskirt I made back in 2010 for her 6th birthday party. It still fits her! It’s just a bit shorter on her now. I must make another one for my youngest daughter one day.
Did you notice something new about my daughter? Not long after her 8th birthday she had braces put on. Early I know but they are partial braces just at the top for a cross bite she has otherwise she’ll damage her adult tooth which has grown behind. She’ll thank us later when she has beautiful straight teeth. They hurt at first but have settled down and she’s getting used to them now.
Holidays are a hard time to craft as my days are filled with playing and loving and feeding my 4 children. We’ve had quite a few pyjama days and love not rushing around for school and activities. Just over a week left and as much as I love having them all at home I can’t wait to break out the sewing machine again once they go back to school and completing a few projects that are taking longer than usual.
