Well not 2 little sisters but loving cousins. When Miss 8 didn’t want a photo shoot today with the 2 little sister hats I finished I asked her cousin who was here for a sleep over and she jumped at the chance.
It’s great having so many cute little models to show off my crochet, knitting and sewing. This is such a pretty little hat with the shell stitch and you can find the pattern by Linda Permann free online here.
Using Moda Vera Beetle like last time I made this hat in 2011, I made two little sister hats in different sizes. I really like Beetle yarn as a cheap non wool yarn and have used it for many crocheted items like these bags and bibs.
The little flower details at the front were just some flowers I’d made ages ago and then sewed on a little button as well. If you just search on google for free crochet flower pattern many come up and you can just pick one from there. The last little sister hat I made didn’t have a flower at the front and looks equally as pretty if flowers are not your thing.
Taking pictures of these two sweethearts reminded me of Trinity and her cousin when she was little pushing her around in their little tikes car. Now our cousin really is a big girl going to high school next year and Carrera is the little one. They all adore each other which is so sweet to see.
