This is a little vest I just finished for Zenon called the Sand Vest. I wanted to make him a nice homemade vest so I searched knitted vest patterns for boys on Ravelry and found this pattern. I loved the stitch pattern and wanted something a bit different so this was perfect.
Using 3 balls of Debbie Bliss Eco Cotton in shade 35 (royal) which is a beautiful denim blue and the sand vest pattern in a size 2.
I started the vest at the beginning of June but then had to give it a little break for a while when I made a mistake and had to undo a few rows. The textured stripes in the pattern meant that I had to concentrate and count stitches which can be hard with four kids and not something you can do that easily whilst watching a movie so I gave it a bit of a break and then came back all fresh and so enthusiastic to complete it that I finished it by the next day.
He wore it today and he looked so handsome in it. Now I just have to knit some clothing for my eldest daughter, she seems to have missed out so far, probably because I have to make size 8 for her so it will take a lot longer than knitting something for boy.
