Hi there. I hope you’ve had a chance to check out my Woolworths Baby & Toddler Club guest post – link here.
I posted some ideas to keep little ones occupied inside on cold and rainy days that spark their imagination. Here’s a taste of what you’ll find there.
Create a Coffee Shop
My kids love playing shops, any kind of shops really. Half the fun is in setting it up, making a sign etc.
We love this pretend money purchased at Woolworths. It teaches the kids what Australian money looks like and makes the shopkeeping and buying seem more real.
We had so much fun creating a land out of different coloured beans. Then the kids had just as much fun messing it up at the end!
Masking Tape Car Track
This can be as complex or as simple as you like. Get the kids involved with designing it and add a few cute touches like road signs or toilet paper roll trees.
Best thing is the masking tape is easy to come off when you’re finished. We have ours up for ages and when I finally take it down the kids are really upset. Keeps it fresh when it’s not there all the time though.
