I heard the expression the other day that “November is the new December” and I have to agree! We have two daughters with birthdays and parties for each of them this year so it’s kind of crazy around here. I can’t even see the floor in my craft room anymore! This year Miss 6 is having a “Princess Party” and these are the invitations we made for her to give to her best friends.
Using some simple supplies I purchased from Officeworks we created her princess party invitations. We used these cute mini cards that are a pearly white in colour and came with their own little envelopes. Cristina Re decorative lace tape adorned the front of the envelopes to add a royal touch and then the “Invitation” seals (stickers) were on the back of the envelopes.
She loved playing princess dress ups for the little photo shoot we had for her. I didn’t get time to make a new princess dress for her so I used the dress purchased from eBay for her to wear for the Christmas card photo shoot we did 3 years ago! Yes she is so petite she still fits into the dress
Such a little lady. She really played the part and wanted her brother to kiss her royal hand!
He didn’t fall for that one!
Picking the best photo wasn’t hard. When my husband showed me the first shot we looked at each other and said “that’s the one”. We printed them off on photo paper at home and cut them to sit nicely on the front of the mini cards.
The printed insides were done using some more Cristina Re pretty pearlised paper except in pink. Love the little princess carriage.
We’re not having too many little princesses coming over, just a few from her class and her two best friends. It will be a fun, low stress party as it’s such an easy theme. Anything girly works really.
So that’s a simple and fun way to create your own personalised princess party invitations. Dress your little one up like a princess, snap a pretty picture of her and create your own homemade invitations.
We have another party before this one so it’s party central around here. I can’t wait to share the other party details with you soon.
