Yep just opening up about my life with Oprah on her show. Nothing major! She wanted to know where my blog was going, what exciting projects I had planned for this year and how I actually coped looking after so many kids and animals every day.
The interview went well I think.
For a bit of school holiday fun, if you haven’t already, why not visit Madame Tussauds which is now in Sydney. We had our first visit last year and it was such a fun day literally rubbing shoulders with royals, celebrities and world leaders. There is only a week to go for school holidays here in Australia and I just realised that I’d never shared our trip there so thought I’d do so in case anyone else was interested in going.
The wax figures really are so lifelike and the sets are amazing with some really fun photo opportunities using their props.
One of my favourite actresses Audrey Hepburn and a true beauty inside and out. Such a fun little set up to pose next to her and have a cup of tea together.
The kids enjoyed riding away with ET and they wanted to take a special Spiderman photo to take home and show their brother who didn’t come with us. We planned a long day which included a train trip from the Central Coast and finished with a walk across the Harbour Bridge and I didn’t think he’d be up to it. Meaning I’d have to carry him half the time and as it was I had to carry my little girl across the bridge when she got blisters from all the walking.
Pop stars were popular with everyone from Katy Perry to Taylor Swift along with Kylie, Olivia Newton John and a bit of hip jiggling with the jaw droppingly handsome Ricky Martin.
Getting a presidential phone call in the oval office with Barrack Obama was fun too. Speaking of the President of USA have you seen his episode of Jerry Seinfeld’s “Commedians in Cars Getting Coffee”? Well worth a watch if you haven’t – link here.
This is Yao Ming the Chinese basketball player who is 2.29 metres or 7 foot 6 inches. Wow!
Had to have a picture with Lleyton Hewitt and then get ready for a dip in the pool.
Some amazing historical scenes and people like Ned Kelly with lots for the kids to learn and read. I’m sure it’s easier for them to remember having actually “met” these people now.
Oh and Julia Gillard and I chatted about knitting of course.
